Cardy-Cards

I love all the cards I got for my birthday recently. I would like to share them with you and below are some of them.

And some very dark photos taken that birthday evening at Soho...my cuzzy aka our jurugambar for that night belum bertauliah lagi mar...so that's ok...it's the memory that's most important :p. I celebrated with Alvin, Evonne and Giles. A very small group this time around but nevertheless, I love it and had so much fun :p.

Both cards below were made by my cuzzy, Evonne. The one on the left is from her personally, and the one on the left is from the whole group who gave me the cake:p. Brilliant job don't you think? :p

Adegan makan dalam gelap. Actually Evonne forgot to take some photos earlier on...dah nak habis makan baru ambik gambar...memang tidak bertauliah...tsk!..tsk!..hahaha! And check out the special birthday dessert sponsored by our very own chef friend, Roger. Thanks a bunch :p

36

10 years ago I would still be so excited rushing around preparing myself for my party, weekends before will be packed with shopping schedules looking for my party dress, shoes, accessories, and all that's equally important to me for my birthday bash. I was in KL then and choosing a party place was never a problem for me or my friends. Pilih je yang mana satu...party or karaoke? And supper thereafter was a must as well. Hmmm...those were the days fellas, when you're still young, with raging hormones!

You can call me 'old' now and it wouldn't affect me a single bit coz I'm fine with it..haha! In fact, I praise God for it and I celebrate it in a different way now...with prayers of thanksgiving; that I'm still alive and well till this day to enjoy the life that God has blessed me with and look forward to what He has in store for me in the days ahead.

Becoming a mother soon, family, and friends are my top priorities now among other things. I'm thankful for how life has treated me before in order to mold me into who I am today..that God has never left me even when I had neglected Him before.

Anyway, I had a great and blessed time during my birthday this year. My colleagues brought me for an advanced dinner at Tmn Selera. Connie had to go on leave that Wednesday, hence we had the dinner on Monday evening. Good and yummy food, nice breezy wind, wonderful friends and lots of laughter...what else could I ask for? None. It was a perfect evening. Then come the actual day, Wednesday. Tengok2 ada surprise birthday party lagi for me in the pantry that afternoon + some presents! Aiyooo! Too much for me la guys. I was already so happy with the dinner. But whatever it is, I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. And that's not all...ada lagik surprise...from my other friends. A chocolate prune cake! Waaah...! You all really made my day la. Thank you..thank you..and thank you. Not forgetting those who have sent their wonderful wishes through email, text and Facebook. God bless you all for remembering me and being so kind. I am so grateful for your love and friendship. Love you all...muah!:p

TGIF

After the hustle and bustle of this week, I'm really looking forward for the weekend. I couldn't really get enough sleep during the weekdays because of my backache...so I really need the weekend to recuperate. My flowers and plants also need some manja time...now they all look like 'hidup segan mati tak mau'...so kesian.

On another note, I would like to share this passage that I read this morning. It's very meaningful to me at the moment, and I am thankful that God had talked to me through this passage. I hope it means something to you too.

GOD CAN HANDLE IT

"The Lord himself will go before you, He will be with you; he will not leave you or forget you. Don't be afraid and don't worry." - Deuteronomy 31:8 -

The next time you find your courage tested to the limit, remember that God is as near as your next breath. He is your shield and your strength; He is your protector and your deliverer.

Life can be difficult and discouraging at times. During our darkest moments, God offers us strength and courage if we turn our hearts and our prayers to Him.

As believing Christians, we have every reason to live courageously. After all, the ultimate battle has already been fought and won on the cross at Calvary. But sometimes, because we are imperfect human beings who possess imperfect faith, we fall prey to fear and doubt. The answer to our fears, of course is God.

Call upon Him in your hour of need and then be comforted. Whatever your challenge, whatever your trouble, God can handle it...and will!

** If a person fears God, he or she has no reason to fear anything else. On the other hand, if a person does not fear God, then fear becomes a way of life. ** - Beth Moore -

Here's to share my condolences to our SD Roland and his family on the demise of his beloved mother last Tuesday, 6th October, 2009. May God shower them with peace and comfort during this difficult time. May her soul rest in peace...

A symphathy card I made for SD Roland and family.

Amy's + Francisca's + Angie's Birthday & Ivy's Farewell BBQ

My little sister is 26 this year and had just celebrated her birthday on the 29th last month. Well, we combined it with Ivy's Farewell, on the 12th of September...which is also my mum's birthday. We also combined it with Angeline's and Francisca's birthday...semua nya September babies..hehe. Aiyooo...I tell you...I koyak habis by the time we came back to Miri...feels like tinggal sehelai sepinggang je. But family must come first though. And because of this, I was so delayed in my birthday presents for my friends who celebrated their birthdays thereafter...one of them pun belum di kasi lagi...but she's overseas now so tunggu dia balik next week. Sorry kawan2 sekelian...hope you'd understand.

Anyways, I had a great time spent in Kuching with my family and all the 'kawan ketats'. Dinner, breakfast, BBQ, outings + good food + family + great friends...oo...I will never trade these for anything else...syok habis! Hehe... Oo ya, you guys have got to try the Ikan Bakar at Siang2 3rd Mile! Meleleh engkau...fuyooo! And the satays from one of the stalls there are equally superb! Promo sikit...hehe. Well, the only thing that spoiled the fun was when I went for a hair cut that last evening in Kuching...just couldn't stand the heat. I wanted to cut my hair short, bob style but the hairstylist wouldn't let me. He said I wouldn't look nice. What?! So what if I wanted to shave my head altogether, right...it's my hair what...! Anyway, after I insisted, he said "ok saya potong, tapi saya kasi layer dia la...so you tidak panas". So I thought he was going to cut it short but he didn't! In the end, I looked like I was having a mullet! Aiyoo...I bising like what but he said "aiyaa...u come back again tomolow la Mdm...now we want to crose oledy". Eee...nasib baik I'm human...kalau aku vinatang memang dah aku siat2 kulit engkau Ah Beng! Geram! So much for the Professional Hairstylist on the name tag....taik kucing la! Dah lah that night I went out for dinner with Ivy, Macdorna and Dennis...after dinner bawak muka tebal lagi tu pegi Secret Recipe for dessert because Ivy wanted to belanja. Good thing there wasn't that many people there. The next day siap bawak balik Miri lagi rambut mullet tu because I didn't have time to go and 'repair' it that morning. ..breath in...breath out... Sabo je lah. When we reached Miri that evening, we went straight to Bintang Plaza and I got my hair fixed at Alan's salun. Dah lah pokai...(sigh)....only God knows.

Enough with the blabbering, below are some photos from the BBQ.

Lauk-pauk nye sedap2 beb...nyum...nyum!

The penjahats!

The hubby busy fanning away, and right is photo of 3 September ladies...

All smiley and I am at my happiest;p.

Birthday card I made for Amy. Angie's card photo is with her...tunggu dia kirim. Tak sempat make card for Francisca though...eeek.

After The Holiday

Raya holiday has just ended. Alvin and I didn't do much except for cleaning the house on Saturday, and on other days we'd be watching dvds, going out for lunch and dinner, jalan2 at the shopping mall and eating ice-creams. We didn't even go visiting coz my tummy doesn't really permit me eating curries and all recently....sigh....
Oo yes, last Sunday morning after church, we went to Ipoh Town for brunch and at the same time to have a small celebration from Jo's birthday. We brought a blueberry cake and gave her a card...I kongsi with me hubby, Victoria and Maggie. Frankie and Daniel joined us too and I just found out that Daniel's birthday also falls on the same day! Aiya! Kesian him...no birthday card. But we had a good time though:p... apart from the part where we had to melayan the emo waiter's perangai. I found it funny actually...kihkihkih.

Yesterday afternoon, we rushed to church for the first band practise for this Sunday's Family Service. Maggie forgotten to tell Alvin that the band practise was at 4pm. I was having my nap when he woke me up to tell that we had to leave immediately. Everything went well thereafter. We had dinner at Tanjung accompanied by Jo, Frankie and Bajeng...they all minum je coz dinner's waiting for them at home. Anyway, some of the long holiday afternoons were used to make some cards too. I'll post the cards' photos as soon as I can. But above all...I enjoyed my holiday:p.
Below, I'd like to post some photos of my colleagues and I from last week. Last Thursday, it was so coincident that most of us were wearing black and white coloured clothes. So as rememberance...we decided to take some 'studio photos' around the office. Well, only some of us could make it for the 'photo shoot' as the rest were rushing to finish off work before the long holiday. Those you see in the photos are the efficient workers who managed to finish off their work earlier. Well...apparently...not. Hahahahaha!
Till the next luahan hati...I hope you enjoyed your holiday too:p.
